Just before 0900 hours, #Truck33 and #C33A were alerted to respond as the second due truck to the area of Suitland Rd. and Silver Hill Rd. for multiple calls advising fire coming from the building on Box 29-18. Engine Company 26 arrived and updated the address to the 4900 block of Suitland Rd, where they had a one-story commercial strip mall with fire showing from the rear. Truck 33 took position on side Charlie, where they entered a daycare below the fire floor and checked conditions. Truck 33’s outside team placed ground ladders and removed bars off the windows. Truck 33 operated for 20 mins before returning to service.
