First due apartment fire

Last night, just before 2200hrs, units were dispatched on Box 33-04 for a reported fire in an apartment in the 2100 block of East Marlboro Avenue. #Engine331, #Truck33, and #Chief33 all responded and arrived on scene to find fire showing from the terrace level of a 3-story garden apartment building. The crew of Engine 331 quickly stretched and extinguished all fire in the apartment, while Truck 33’s crew opened up and completed primary searches in the fire apartment which proved to be negative. Chief 33 held the command and operated with Company 33 in the fire apartment for overhaul and wet down. Crews operated for a little over an hour before returning to the Landover Road Firehouse.
