Engine 332 extricates 1 on Landover Rd.

Yesterday afternoon, #Engine332 responded to a Personal Injury Accident right in front of the firehouse. While assessing the scene, it was discovered that one occupant was trapped in the driver’s seat of one of the vehicles and the assignment was upgraded. With two crews at Kentland, #RescueEngine33 was in quarters as the crew was out on the air training on TK33. The decision was made to pull RE33 out and begin extrication due to a Priority 1 patient and extended response time of the dispatched Squad company. E332’s crew was able to utilize the tools from RE33 to remove the driver’s side door and access the patient. E332 then assisted EMS crews in removing the patient from the vehicle just as units from the upgraded assignment began to arrive on scene.
