Tower 33 Responds as First Due Truck to Cheverly House Fire

Just as members were doing their morning apparatus checks the pre-alerts sounded and Box 09-08 was dropped for fire in the basement in the 6300 block of Joslyn Place. Tower 33 was alerted as the first due truck on the box. first arriving units went on the scene with a 1 and a half story single family dwelling and smoking showing, upon completion of the 360 they reported fire showing from the basement. The crew from Tower 33 made entry to the basement from side c where they met up with Engine Company 9. The Crew from Tower 33 preformed a search of the basement and opened up for the engine. The Exterior team placed over 68 feet of ladders as well a cut bars off the windows. Tower 33 operated for 38 mins before returning to the Landover Road House.
