First Due Box for Company 33

Just after lunch on February 11th, the men of Kentland Volunteer Fire Department were alerted for the reported house fire in the first due. Engine and Tower 33 along with Chief 33A hit the streets with 8 men. The Engine Company and Tower Ladder arrived to find a middle of the row “Kentland Triple” with fire showing from a window on the second floor. The Engine Company quickly deployed the “Kentland Bumper Line” while the men from the Tower Ladder began an interior search and threw ladders. The interior crew was met with 3 bedrooms on fire and made quick work using an aggressive interior attack. Once the fire was knocked, Company 33 remained on scene to complete overhaul and search for any remaining fire. The men of 33 operated for approximately 2 and a half hours.
