Engine 331 was alerted to respond for the reported basement on fire in the unit block of Herrington Drive in Company 46’s area. First arriving units went on the scene with smoking showing from the basement and let incoming units know they were going to stretch through the basement access on side delta. Engine 331 arrived a short time later laying out 400 feet and nosing in with Engine 46. The crew stretched the 250 pre-connected attach line though the front door to division 1. The engine crew found no extension and hydro vented out of a window on the delta side of the structure. Command quickly scaled the incident back and the Engine returned to the Landover Road Engine House.
