Tower 33 And Chief 33A Respond to Glenn Dale For The House Fire

At 0146 hours PSC dispatched Tower 33 as the second due truck, for the fire in a bathroom in the 6500 block of Edge Avenue, in the box area 18-01. First arriving units went on the scene with a “3-story single family dwelling, fire showing from the roof”. Chief 33A arrived on the scene and assumed the Edge Avenue command. Tower 33 arrived on the scene and split into 2 teams. The interior team made their way into the structure and worked with E18 on opening up the bathroom. The exterior team threw over 80 feet of ground ladders and extended the bucket to the roof line where the fire was coming from. The driver from Tower 33 open the roof and walls around the bathroom. Tower 33 remained on the scene for over an hour and half to provide overhaul. Command was terminated and The Tower and The Chief returned to Station 33. During the incident Engine 331 (Engine 92) was transferred to fire station 18 to provide coverage in the area of the fire and Engine 332 was staffed at station 33 to protect the citizens of The Greater Landover Area
