Engine 331 and Truck 33 Run Fatal Seat Pleasant House Fire: 6806 Wilburn Drive (Video)

An early morning fire on the day after Thanksgiving for Engine Company 33 and Truck 33 unfortunately claimed the life of a Seat Pleasant resident. Truck 33 was dispatched as the search group to 6806 Wilburn Drive and conducted a search of the 2nd floor, where they were forced to deal with high heat and well developed fire conditions.

Engine 805, also operating on the second floor, was able to locate the victim in the rear bedroom.
Truck 33 assisting in removing this victim out the rear window on to the deck. The victim was then carried from the deck to EMS on Side A by a member of Engine 331 while 5 and the Truck continued interior operations.
Engine 331 (4th due) had arrived third, and taken 3rd due responsibility after conferring face-to-face with Command.
Using the bundle load to overcome disadvantageous hydrant locations, Engine 331’s driver was able to reverse lay an attack line and position out of the way, while the crew advanced in through the rear and put the rest of the house out.
