Remembering Donald “Patch” Aker, Jr.

REMEMBERING DONALD “PATCH” AKER, JR.- Two-years ago today (July 27th), the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. and the entire Public Safety Community lost a mentor, brother, friend, President and Fireman.
“Patch”, as he was affectionately known, passed away after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Although he has departed, his legacy still lives strong within the Prince George’s County Public Safety field. From his influence and direction at the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department, to the professionalism displayed at the County’s Public Safety Communications Center.
The Officers and Members of the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department ask that you continue to keep the Aker Family and Patch’s friends/co-workers in your thoughts and prayers.
