Tower 33 Responds to 5000 Block of Philadelphia Way

Tower 33, along with units from the 2nd battalion , was dispatched first due special service for smoke in the building on Philadelphia way. The first due engine arrived on scene and advised they had smoke coming from a bay door on side Charlie. Tower 33 arrived on scene and took position on side Charlie. The crew was assigned the investigation group. After several minutes of looking for the source of the smoke a small orange glow could be seen in the Charlie delta corner of the building and it was determined the best method of attack would be the roof. Tower 33 roof team, along with Truck 14 crews, began opening the roof where they found fire from under the roofing material. The attack line was extended to the roof and the fire was knocked down. Crews worked on some extension and overhaul before returning to service.
