Company 33 Honors Sailor and Firefighter Who Died on Board USS Fitzgerald

Today members from Company 33 took the Engine and Tower to Landover Road above the Capital Beltway to pay respect to US Navy Gunners Mate Second Class Dakota Rigsby as he took his journey home. Rigsby lost his life on board the USS Fitzgerald when it collided with a merchant ship off the coast of Japan on June 17th.
Rigsby was a gunner’s mate seaman in the Navy, and a volunteer firefighter–along with his mother–at Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire Department (Co. 5) in Virginia.
The other sailors who perished in this tradgedy are: Shingo Alexander Douglass, 25, from San Diego, California; Sonar Technician 3rd Class Ngoc T Truong Huynh, 25, from Oakville, Connecticut; Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Noe Hernandez, 26, from Weslaco, Texas; Fire Controlman 2nd Class Carlosvictor Ganzon Sibayan, 23, from Chula Vista, California; Personnel Specialist 1st Class Xavier Alec Martin, 24, from Halethorpe, Maryland; and Fire Controlman 1st Class Gary Leo Rehm Jr., 37, from Elyria, Ohio.
