21 Years 100% Volunteer

On this date (May 26th) in 1995, Station 33 of the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. lost their career daytime staffing due to budget constraints facing the Prince George’s County Fire Department.
Since that day, the Engine Company, Squad Company, Tower Ladder and Chief Officers vehicles at Company 33 have been staffed by a 100% Volunteer staffing regiment.
In the past 21- years, volunteers have responded to approx. 120,000 individual incidents, including approx. 2200 working structural fires. Even a bigger accomplishment is the fact that in 21-years Company 33 has NEVER failed to respond on an incident or respond understaffed.
As posted each year previously, none of what has been and continues to be accomplished at Kentland would be possible without the dedication of the members!
