Engine 331, Tower 33 on 2nd Alarm of Fire

As the engine and tower crew were wrapping up from a fire in company 38’s first due PSC dispatched an apartment fire at 5054 Silver Hill Ct. As first alarm units were responding in PSC advised them they had the sheriffs department on scene reporting smoke coming from the building with possible people trapped. Units went on scene with smoke showing from a 3 story garden style apartment and command requested the 2nd alarm be transmitted. This brought Engine 331 and Tower 33 in as first due engine and first due special.
The engine company arrived, assisted in completing water supplies and stretched a handline to the first floor directly above the fire to open up and extinguish fire that had extended. When the tower arrived they reported to side C of the building and set up the tower to gain access to top floor apartments and the roof, as well as threw multiple ground ladders.
Once the exterior work was completed the crew reported to the second floor to complete searches and check for extension. The crews worked for approximately 45 minutes before being released by command.
