2nd Alarm of Fire for the Tower

After returning from a early morning accident on the beltway the members staffing the firehouse listened as the box was transmitted for 8740 Armstrong Lane. First arriving units went on scene with an auto repair shop with fire showing and extensions issues and began setting up a water relay for the set back building.
Tower Ladder 33 was alerted as part of the working fire dispatch and responded with 6 volunteers, and Chief 33A. While responding units on screen requested a task force due to the fire conditions and water supply relays.
Once on scene the tower crew set up the RIT under the RIT supervisor Chief 33A. With multiple crews going to work and resources being used off the task force command requested the 2nd alarm be filled out. As 2nd alarm units approached the scene they took over the RIT and the crew from Tower 33 went to work opening up and assisting in extinguishing the fire. The tower operated for 1 and a half hours before returning to service.
