Fire in a Crawl Space for Engine 331, Engine 332, and Tower Ladder 33: 9100 Blk Utica Pl

Engine 331, Engine 332, and Tower Ladder 33 were dispatched for smoke filling a residence in the Springdale section of Company 806’s first due. Engine 806 reported on the scene with a one story single family dwelling with smoke showing from the front door. Engine 331 arrived and secured 806’s water supply and advanced the 250′ preconnect to back up engine 806. Engine 332 responded and arrived as the 3rd due engine and laid out an additional supply line and stretched their 250′ preconnect to side charlie of the structure and began making access to the crawlspace area. Tower 33 arrived on scene as the first due special service and began laddering the building and ventilation, while the interior crew began searches to locate any civilians still inside and the fire. Engine 332 reported that the fire was in the crawl space under the kitchen. Crews opened up the floor to expose and extinguish the fire. Units operated for 1hour and 30 minutes before returning to service.
