Tower Operates at Dwelling Fire: 3806 Endicott Pl

While returning from a box alarm in Company 37’s area, Tower 33 was alerted as the first due special service for a house fire at 3806 Endicott Place in Company 6’s first due. On the air with the rescue squad, Squad 6 arrived on scene with a two-story house and fire showing through the roof.
Tower 33 arrived behind Engine 28 (1st due engine) and was assigned the second due special service position by command. The OIC gave a report from the rear and had fire showing on all floors on the exterior, extending into the interior of the basement and first floor. The tower crew split (interior/exterior) with the interior team conducting primary searches of the basement and 1st floor (both negative – one dog removed), while the exterior team placed portable ladders to all sides and horizontally ventilated the second floor.
After the bulk of the fire in the attic was knocked down, the tower crew re-postioned with members opening up and checking for extension on the 1st and 2nd floors. To complete overhaul and final wet-down after all of the fire was extinguished via the interior, the tower bucket was placed in service flowing a length of 1.5″, as well as the Stang monitor.
