Just after 0050 hrs Engine 332 and Tower Ladder 33 were alerted for a reported fire in the garage at 10902 Spyglass Hill Drive. The volunteers responded with 8 men as the second due engine and first due truck company. Engine 461 arrived on the scene of a two story single family home with light smoke showing from the garage, and advised except for the first due special service and themselves; everyone else to stage. Engine 332 arrived and picked up Engine 461's line as Tower 33 reported to Side-A Alpha. The Tower crew quickly went to work opening the two garage doors and conducting a primary of the first floor. Crews found a fire in the garage and requested for an additional Engine and Truck Company to check for extension on the floor above. Engine 332 advanced a back-up line into the structure and after no extension was found on the second floor the crew assisted with moping up the remaining fire in the garage. Tower 33's crew opened up and checked for extension, also completing the secondary search in the process. Command was assumed by Engine 332 and the assignment was scaled back to the units from Company 33 and Engine 461 to assist investigators.
