Engine Co. 33 second due to House Fire in the 2400 blk of Nicol Circle
At approximately 1600 hrs, Engine Co 33 was dispatched as the second due engine for a reported house on fire in the 2400 blk of Nicol Circle in Co 6’s area. While units were en-route, Public Safety Communications notified units of several calls and several addresses. Rescue Squad 6 arrived and reported a two story single family dwelling and smoke showing from the Charlie side and the roof. Engine 331 arrived and secured a water supply for PE46 and stretched the 250′ attack line to division 1 making their way to the second floor where they encountered fire through the roof. PE46 deployed an attack line to handle a grill on the rear deck where the fire started and flanked the back of the house. The crew from Engine Co 33 operated on division two and the attic extinguishing hot spots and completing overhaul for approximately two hours before returning to Kentland.
